I used to care for my elderly mother she had COPD and a hieghtal hernia that couldn't be operated on due to the COPD she passed away in 2021 and I've been trying to find somewhere to donate the hospital bed and can't find anyone to take it even giving it away I've called nursing homes the veterans and thrift stores homeless shelters even put it on the radio shopper. My mom passed away in a hospital not at home so she did not die in the home hospital bed and she wasn't sick with a contagious disease but I think with COVID this is what is making it difficult to give away. I need to find it a home cause I can't keep it stored any longer. Please message me if can help and are able to pick it up. thank you. I live in Hugo Oklahoma

I'm surprised that hospice didn't come back for it. My hospice informed me if I didn't return it I would be charged for it.
Call bulk trash pick up. you would need to get it to the curb. Sometimes a junk collector will come by and pick up. I know I can do that here in my neighborhood but my daughter cannot do it in her area. You need to check that first.

You could put it up on the Facebook marketplace for free if you're on Facebook. Or ask a local family member with a Facebook account to help you add it on the marketplace.

Make sure you explain they need to move it and load it themselves.

Join Nextdoor.com (an intranet of your actual neighbors who are not anonynous) and advertise it for free first come/first served and they must have at least 2 strong people and a large enough vehicle.

Or, craigslist.org under the "FREE" section as a "CURB ALERT: FREE ELECTRIC HOSPITAL BED" (but I would only do this if you can have trusted people at your house for protection when the seekers come to get it, or you can get it to the curb with help from friends). I've done both of these things and have never not had the items taken.
