I hope things take a big turn for the better, Send!

I have usually very easy asthma, but it became SUPER sensitive to smoke. When the fires smoke blows in I get trapped inside and unable to exercise. So I’m sending you clean air asap and a relief to the worry about where the fire will go next.

And Firefighters ARE the best!

Called the Post Fire @ 14,654 acres this morning but 8% contained.

So glad you all are here, it helps just to be heard.

The sun is out, sky is mostly clear.
I must stay inside because I am one of the sensitive ones and like to breathe.
Every so often I open the windows, turn on the fans and a/c to remove the toxic inside air for 20 minutes.

We are okay.

Thanks Alva! The wind seems to be keeping the ash away as it goes towards the ocean, and won't shift back until tonight.
Staying vigilant, but the day is beautiful.
Waiting for updates.
Prayers for everyone in the path of the fire, and the firefighters.
Our firefighters are the best!

Oh, send. I am so sorry. I remember the ash raining down and the sky looking like something surreal. Thinking of you.

Take care sends, 35 miles away doesn't sound very far to me.

Report

send - do be careful of the ash. It is nasty stuff. I got some in one eye in 2016 and it hurt like heck!!! Fires can move quickly so it is wise to keep watch and be ready.

Send, take care! Keep up to date re evacuation.

Can you hose your roof, especially any gutters with leaves & the gazebo cover? Protect yourself from any ash when outside - sturdy shoes, long pants & long sleeves, hat (wet it) glasses & a wet thin scarf/mask to breath through.

At 2:00 a.m. Sunday
This fast moving fire is 10,504 acres, zero containment, out of control.
I found a website and app that gives updates.
It is called Watch Duty.

Thanks Beatty and Golden!

There were ashes dropping in my city.
Awake at 2:00 a.m. thinking our canvas canopy on gazebo should be removed, but there will be push back from dH as he goes off to church in the morning.
This is the part that is hard on me, he looks really weird when he rolls his eyes at me.

We are very far away from the actual fire, about 35 miles.

Major big fire near Interstate 5 in Gorman, heading south towards Pyramid Lake in North L.A. County, winds are high. Heavy smoke here, sun is bright orange, looks like a flame due to the smoke filtering the sun. 3,610 acres now changed in a short time to ???? Aw, reports are wrong--I tried, it's a growing fire though.

Another brush fire in Aqua Dulce, 120 acres, unconfirmed.

North and East of our home.

Our firefighters will take care of us!

Can't help but feel a bit unsettled about this surprise.

You know, the world's way of doing away with the actual time, day, and date
has got to me.

My opinion is cannabis has some great health benefits, but that's just me, and that's not smoking it. But people need to use there head. To much of anything is not good for you. End all be all we won't know until better studies come out

Just FYI from https://www.prb.org/resources/u-s-trends-in-heart-disease-cancer-and-stroke/#:~:text=(December%202002)%20Deaths%20from%20heart,2000%20(258%20per%20100%2C000).

U.S. Trends in Heart Disease, Cancer, and Stroke

(December 2002) Deaths from heart disease have fallen dramatically over the past 50 years in the United States, from over 589 age-adjusted deaths per 100,000 people in 1950 to less than half that number in 2000 (258 per 100,000). Deaths from stroke declined over the same period, from 181 per 100,000 to 61 per 100,000.

As far as I am aware this trend continues.

On the other hand cannabis works against that.

NIH-funded observational study shows risk grows sharply with more frequent use. Frequent cannabis smoking may significantly increase a person's risk for heart attack and stroke, according to an observational study supported by the National Institutes of Health.

Also I've read one or two beers in the heat can really be hydrating anything more it's dehydrating

And actually when your really hydrated milk, sounds crazy, but the fat in milk holds the fluid into your muscles better, so you need some fat along with the liquid, or the water just goes through you , with little benefit

Needs, I honestly wonder if it's alcohol and drugs causing the heart issues in young people.

I hear people all the time that have no clue that alcohol effects the heart. Everyone talks about the liver

Studies are finding cannabis effects the heart too. People just all go over board on all that stuff.

Thinking about how, like bindg drinkers , dehydrate there bodies every weekend, over and over, can't be good!

And the younger they start the harder it is on them

cw,

Look up usa.philips.com MCOT Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry

You will see the device that I am wearing.

Alva, when you were working in cardiology, what was the average age of a person with heart disease and heart attacks?

It’s sad to see people in their 30’s and 40’s having heart attacks.

Alva,

I forgot about the alarm on my bed in the hospital.

Out of habit, I got up to use the bathroom. The alarm went off. They said that someone had to be there with me when I got up.

I am all for technology! I don’t want to go back in time and have antiquated ways.

The funniest tech story that I have heard was when my husband’s friend decided to get a Rumba and program it to vacuum while he was at work.

Well, he had a new puppy that wasn’t quite trained yet. He came home to smeared puppy poop all over his house! 😝

Being scolded by your monitor reminds me of Barb's hubby and the robot in the room warning him about getting out of bed.
What next for us.

cw,

I was told that the phone can’t be more than ten feet away from me. My kitchen is 20 x 15 and my living room is 20 x 20.

Yeah, I exceeded the ten foot limit when I left my phone in the living room.
