Find Care & Housing
Hi! There are 65 professional articles and about 750 old questions and discussions on this site, a good place to start. Click on Care Topics on the top right of the screen, then on P for Parkinsons. Of course your own question should give you some good information, but it may be easier for you to get worded up with the articles etc. Best wishes for a difficult time ahead, love Margaret

Are any exercises done to help with balance? Just yesterday I learned about an app that is exercise called NYMBL that improves balance, ten minutes a day. Some don't need walkers or canes after using it for awhile.

At 102 it may be she mercifully will not be here long enough to experience the entirety of the disease. You can search "Parkinsons" for answers and find sites like this one

Does this person live with you?

My uncle has Parkinson's. Like any disease, I think it is different for everyone. But it's progressive and uncurable and all that can be done is to try to manage the symptoms a bit. Not being able to use their hands well and falling are common. Hallucinations can happen. Violence can happen. All kinds of sad things.
