I've heard that water exercises with a physical therapist is good for pd patients. Depends too on how advanced pd is. As for walk in tubs with jet sprays, that did not work for my mom. Mom is tall and felt cramped and could not spread her legs. Plus you have to wait for all the water to drain before exited"walk in" feature made mom have to step up 3 inches Way more than a regular walk in. Big problem. And this wonderfulness cost 15K and mom used it maybe 6X. Would not recommend

I have never known anyone who used one of these, but it would be interesting to know. It seems that it would relax muscles and relieve pain some, like it does for arthritis, but you'd really need to talk to someone who has used one. How about the merchant that is selling whatever it is that you are considering? Would they be willing to have a customer of theirs call you to let you know what they have experienced?

pstegman - could you be more specific? Jet spa. Do you mean a whirlpool/Jacuzzi type tub in the bathroom? Do you mean one of those mats you put in the bottom of a regular bathtub and then it swirls the water around? Is this to help relax the muscles, improve circulation, or what? If you let us know what you heard or read that initiated your post perhaps more people who are or have been dealing with Parkinsons will respond.

No is my answer, but, out of curiosity, what's a Jet Spa suppose to do for you? Parkinson's is such an individualized disease and affects many in so many different ways, I suppose it's hard to determine what, if anything, a jet spa would do for them?? I'd love to know if someone is getting benefit from such....
