II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.
IV. No Obligation or Commitment. You have no obligation to use or to continue to use our services. Because you pay no fee to us, you will never need to ask for a refund.
V. Complaints. Please contact our Family Feedback Line at (866) 584-7340 or ConsumerFeedback@aplaceformom.com to report any complaint. Consumers have many avenues to address a dispute with any referral service company, including the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office at: Consumer Protection Division, 800 5th Avenue, Ste. 2000, Seattle, 98104 or 800-551-4636.
VI. No Waiver of Your Rights. annoyed, try asking for a newer pain medication, like Tramadol. And if you need pain meds, don't take his, get your own prescription. If the doctor suspects you are both using the same Rx, he will cut you both off.
thanks linda z for your comment you understand what I am saying. My husband said to tell you that is exactly how he feels. He doesn't like to take meds. but these work for him and he has never had an issue with them. We can only afford to see a PA which is what our town offers but many of the MD are already telling us they won't prescribe these. I guess they dont want to take the time. Only God knows what will happen to us. You feel like know one cares.
Just see a good pain management dr affilated with a hospital not some walk in clinice type place which they are trying to close down...the pill mills......oxycontin is very abused as it can be injected- hydrocodone, percocet is mixed with other drugs that make it harder to abuse.....you may also look into a pain patch-different strengths/types vailable.Talk to the pain management doctor- there are several available by prescrption my mom had one normally changed every 3 days or so. Also better if the patient as any chance of "abusing" the pills.
I also have have fibromylgia along with 2 torn discs, 1 ruptured disc and a compression fracture of a vertabrae...on top of that I will need a hip replacement for arthritis, a bad knee (also arthritis)and myofascia pain syndrome and migraines to boot. No one wants to prescribe a pain medication (God forbid I become addicted!) but I have gone to a pain management clinic for sciatica, my back and my knees...I have had shots up the wazoo and still no real relief....I've asked for the hydrocodone because it gives me relief for the various issues and I have been treated as a drug addict seeking drugs! I hope you do get relief from some one, I'm just depressed and in pain.
The medicines are for my husband and he has had this chronic pain for many years. Thanks for all your answers. Annoyed He takes Lyrica for the fibro and it works great along with the other pain medicines. By itself it is not as helpful.

ABC news. This is why the restrictions have drastilcally changed. Do try your best with the new prescribed med and any other therapies that might help. I have a home TENs unit that helps alot, as well as heat/ice, etc. Also, taking Cymbalta helps with my chronic pain. Try to keep a positive relationship with your providers by trying what they offer. Their hands are pretty much tied. So sorry you are having to deal with this. Bless you.
If you/he has fibromyalgia you should be under the care of a rheumatologist. If I'm not mistaken, hydrocodone is in the codeine family. I think it's just a stronger type of Tylenol 3 with codeine. But I'm not a doctor. Also, I hope they tapered you off the drug as opposed to making you go into withdrawal. Try another doctor that specializes in pain management. You'll probably have to get injections for the degenerative bone disease. It sounds scary, but it really does improve your quality of life, and make it so you can take less pain meds. Good luck
Doctors are being held more accountable now for prescribing certain type medications. This include many of the pain relievers and sedatives. It can take an act of Congress now to get some things, it seems. I don't blame the doctors, since they would not want to risk their careers by freely prescribing these medications. It has helped to shape doctors on their prescribing habits, but has made it more difficult for patients who really need these things.
I hope you're able to find something else that works. Strangely I find hydrocodone is totally ineffective as a pain reliever. It's like drinking water to me. Have you tried any of the medications, e.g. gabapentin, that are recommended for things like fibromyalgia?
In the original question, you seemed to indicate the medicine was for you, but in the subsequent reply, you refer to a him and his. So the medicine is for you or for someone else?
Hydrocodone is extremely habit-forming and most doctors will not prescribe it for any length of time. I'm surprised you/he were allowed to take it for years without a break.
I did some research and found on October 6, 2014, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reclassified all FDA-approved products containing hydrocodone as Schedule II controlled substances. Since then, doctors have been required to write a new prescription for each 30-day supply of a hydrocodone combination product, rather than authorizing refills.
I can understand your frustration with that. This pill is one that is being stolen and sold underground, thus the tighter reins on its use.
Also found the Food and Drug Administration approved Purdue Pharma's Hysingla ER [Hydrocodone Bitartrate Extended-release Tablets] for patients with severe, round-the-clock pain that cannot be managed with other treatments... this pill is now being used to replace Hydrocodone as it cannot be abused like the original pill. Ask your doctor about Hysingla ER, and if you could use it.
They say its because our government wont let dr. prescribe Hydrocodone and gave us no alternative to the situation and now his pain management dr. wont prescribe it What is a patient to do who do you turn to????? The alternative is to take tylenol3 with codene of which he cant take because it gives him a bad reaction.
