Find Care & Housing
If you are seeking a chair lift to up and down stairs, and you are on Medicare, check with Medicare. There are a lot of home modifications available for Medicare Participants.

I have had many patients who have chair lifts, and I'm assuming you mean the kind that are on a rail and are motorized? I know that my patient's who have had them had to pay out of pocket but with a religious order maybe Catholic Charities would help with the cost. Also check with St. Vincent DePaul Society too.

Dear Sisters: Do you mean a lift chair, or something that can be used with an existing chair? Have you investigated Medicare reimbursement? Do the Sisters get Medicare?

Hello sisters263,

Here is a link to your local area agency. They may be able to provide you with more specific details on how to get financial assistance.
