Our father has COPD and our mother was caring for him. She has gone into renal failure and in/out of hospital. She may need transplant eventually. My sister is taking the brunt of caregiver load for both, and has had to quit her home daycare to be available for parents. The loss of $600 a month is a big hit to her family income and parents do not have savings. We cannot afford for outside services to help and my sister would prefers to be there. Please tell me if there is any funding to help offset gas and time for my sister to care for parents.
Thank you so much.
Jenn
Thanks to
Again for replies to my question, much appreciated!!!
Have a great eve. Jenn
Medicaid will cover probably one paid outside Caregiver to come to the house but they won't cover all 3 shifts... Medicaid would prefer to place your parents into a continuing care facility.
