Your loved one may not require home care or assisted living services at this time. However, continue to monitor their condition for changes and consider occasional in-home care services for help as needed.

I'd like to add this link from Aging.Care forums. It started out with someone wanting to donate a Hospital bed a few years ago - with no takers - but, ended with many people offering beds to those who live in the area over the past two years.
Check with your Fire Department. The one where I live saves used medical equipment for people to borrow or have as needed. You might get lucky: this helps them, too, to make more room for donations.
Depending on your mom's condition(s) Hospice will provide a hospital bed and one that usually has an alternating pressure mattress or an air flow mattress. (Much better than a pain mattress.) Your mom's doctor can order a Hospital Bed it is necessary for her, for you to care for her properly and safely. Many Senior Centers or Nurses Lending Closets will have donated hospital beds. the problem there might be you will have to provide a mattress for the bed as many places will not take a used mattress. (unless it is one that can be properly cleaned and sanitized) Face Book has Market Place and Garage Sale sections for your particular area. Often people will list hospital beds. Again you might have to get a mattress. Not sure if I would want to use someone's old used mattress unless I could have it properly cleaned and sanitized.
Also consider adding a hospice service. This will immediately provide all medical equipment and supplies needed without charge. It doesn’t mean death is coming soon, but can be a great help. Ask her doctor about ordering it.
You may be able to find one for free on Nextdoor.com. People who buy them for LOs in the home but wind up using them for only a short time. They often have a hard time getting rid of them because they are a specialty item and there are many of them out there. The only challenge is transporting it and setting it up in the house as they are motorized and are heavy.
Does your Mom have insurance/Medicare? If so, all she'd need is to have her Doctor write a prescription describing her need for a hospital bed. They'll then fax it to a local Durable Medical Equipment provider in your area. After it's approved, they'll deliver the bed and mattress to your house. Medicare covers most of it. My Mom pays just $10 a month towards her hospital bed. After 13 months of rental, the bed will automatically be gifted to your Mom by the DME provider as per Medicare rules. It's almost impossible to find a used hospital bed, as they're so heavy and awkward & hard to take apart/set up again. Most folks have the DME companies come out to their house with one and they set it up for them.
