My dad won’t leave my mom alone as far as sex goes and he’s very demanding at times to go get some pills.

He can get aggressive with her at night and give her a hard time, this keeps her up all night.

My dad had a stroke over 23 yrs ago & recently had tested for beginning stages of dementia.

We had a similar issue with my Inlaws. FIL was sexually aggressive, and by that I mean he was strongly interested in having sex. MIL suffered from vascular dementia and did not complain about the sexual attention.

What has your mom said to you about her thoughts on the situation?

Depending on what you mean by "getting aggressive" it's time for serious medication or for him to be moved to a facility.

Yes, meds first, if they don't work maybe time to place him. It would be nice if Mom had a room of her own but not sure if it will solve the problem. If he hurts her, then u need to call the police and have him baker acted so he can be evaluated.

With dementia and Alzheimer's, hypersexuality is known as ISB or Inappropriate Sexual Behavior. Call dad's doctor and discuss medication to calm him down, as mom should not have to be dealing with this. Neither should you have to be dealing with aggressive or violent behavior of any kind, which sometimes manifests with dementia. Look into Memory Care Assisted Living for dad if things progress w/o satisfactory results. Don't chalk this behavior off to "just disease" or someone can get hurt, even if unintentionally.

Good luck to you

Welcome to yet another new member. Glad to have you on Forum.

Your Mom needs to discuss this with a good Neuro-psyc MD. Hypersexuality in conditions affecting the brain is quite common.
