Find Care & Housing
I just read ur profile, which I had not done when I posted before.

For the physical therapy and wound care get Moms PCP to order "in home care". Those woumds need immediate attention. For the rest of the things you mentioned you need a CNA and that will need to be private pay because I don't think Medicare would cover cleaning, shopping, ect. The bathing will be done with in home care. Not sure if Medicaid will cover all u want either but u can try. Blue Cross, u have to check with them. If Mom has a Medicare Advantage thats a whole different ballgame.

IMO since u have health problems of your own, is to place Mom. If she has no money, apply for Medicaid LTC.

Call your Office of Aging, they may be of some help.

Medicare will not supply round the clock care. There was/is a member who was able to get "intermittent" care thru Medicare for her Mom and an Aunt. "In home" care is very limited with Medicare. You maybe better off trying Medicaid. Still some limitations like in the hours can get but but not in the time allowed.

Kat, welcome! Please your phone number out of your profile.

Call mom's doctor. That is who can order physical therapy, home health and perhaps a wound care NP to come to the home.

Have you considered applying for Medicaid for your mom?
