I believe that InnoVage is responsible for this. It was a ridiculous ride. I was on the bus with her. We hit bumps all the time. We jolted up and backed down and the lap built locked in on me immediately undid it not thinking about my mother I said are you And then the next day she couldn’t walk she was wobbling. She was in extreme pain no bruising just swelling of the leg and then we went back to InnoVage for another visit. She said oh neuropathy I’m just gonna put her back on the gabapentin without physically examining her then on April 9, she decided to give her an x-ray they came to her and did it The 10th my mother was transferred to the hospital with the neck femur broken and I’m responsible now what should I do? InnoVage pace is the worst care possible my mother is in a nursing skilled nursing home for Rehab. They’re not coming to her and using the facilities Rehab room which is set up just like my mom has to go down to the centre to approximately 30 minutes with OT and PT and wheelchair all those when she’s not supposed to be in the same position very long because it is not good surgeon last week will get the results for an ultrasound possibly some blood clot in her leg. I don’t know they don’t know yet he was an excellent surgeon. I will say that but InnoVage covers lousy nursing homes and this one’s flagged for resident harm in the past year they’ve got like two out of five stars it is filthy and smells like mould and then Mom is sick. I feel neglected sent me two letters Regarding skilled nursing and how they have zero stars for healthcare my mom was on health first Colorado Medicaid and Medicare and still active I want her out of InnoVage and I want to contact Lawyer but when I mentioned it to Dr Hall out of the InnoVage Lakewood and Grace the Social Worker Thornton InnoVage I feel that that the seatbelt that goes over your lap like literally in the back of the Busters bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce… I would bring my mother to my place but the bathroom is not handicap accessible neither is the front door go to live with each other handicap accessible but my case manager for low income housing she has not contacted me in over a month regarding my application fees that they need to pay for me and apply to these apartments so that we can get moved so I feel like just being screwed all the way around and nobody wants the responsibility accountability…. I’m just. so broken about how my mother is feeling bless her heart she wobbled around for a month. I had to ask InnoVage for a wheelchair and they brought her one and then I said well the assisted living place in this girl been fired for talking to me for the last time yelling and screaming at me at her assisted-living place she took the wheelchair out in the hall and buried it and a storage room and staff had a hard time finding it so InnoVage came and got it a week later. I called him and said it back but still.
From what I can gather your mother broke the NECK of her Femur. This is the most common was a hip is broken. If you google femur you will see the neck there next to the ball that goes into the socket of her pelvic bones.
I cannot make out if she has had surgery. You mention an excellent surgeon, so I think she had surgery and is now in rehab, but they are worrying about blood clots.
Do understand that she may have sustained an unwitnessed fall at some point before or after the awful van ride, and that injury to the femur are very common. Sadly, falls, broken bones, sometime are the beginning of the end for our seniors. SO hard to recover from. I wish your mom great good luck.
I cannot tell much else from your writings for us here. Try to ask us one question, if you will, proofread it and make certain it is correctly written.
I am afraid we are otherwise lost here and just left wishing you and your mom the best of luck.
Other than that, I'm lost.
The broken neck femur I took to be the head of the ball joint. I may be way off on that though given the post.
This is really hard to follow.
Using "she" for your mom and I am assuming the doctor makes it more confusing.
I don't know if this InnoVage is Public Transportation or if it is a Medical Facility or if it is transportation provided by the Medical Facility.
I hope that someone else is better at deciphering your question/post
As to the question about breaking a hip because of bumps....I am sure the company has a waiver that is standard that they are not to blame if an injury occurs.
A broken hip is a common injury for an older person. Many broken hips are Break and then Fall not Fall and Break.
And a doctor that does not do a "work up" on someone complaining of hip pain may also be to blame for delaying treatment.
