So, my 89 year old mother has started having rather severe rectal problems that include severe burning along with varying degrees of constipation and diarrhea.
She is at her wits end with it all and is in constant discomfort and anxiety over it.
She has been examined and they have found nothing. What could it be?
It’s hard to watch them experience this discomfort. My mom tried to ease her discomfort with eating well but it didn’t improve much.
So sorry that your mom is struggling with this situation. As Parkinson’s progresses it becomes more difficult to manage.
Mom’s brother who also had Parkinson’s eventually ended up only being able to eating food that his nursing home processed in a blender.
Is she using a barrier cream (aka diaper rash cream) to protect tender tissues?
And has she changed her diet or added any new medications or supplements lately?
