What is Medicare's Criteria for the mandatory Discharge of a Patient?

Mandatory?
There is no mandatory discharge. You can leave your loved one in rehabilitation for a long time as long as you are willing to pay.
What you will receive will come from the Social Workers, the Billing department or the Discharge planners. They will tell you what day Medicare will stop paying for the person and will tell you WHY. There may be a variety of reasons. The person may have used up their time allotment through one or more admissions or the person may be unable to progress or the person may be unwilling or unable to participate.

That is rather the norm. BUT go to search bar on your favorite search engine; type in
"How Many Days Will Medicare Pay for Rehab?"
And you will be able to research for 2024 and 2025 the rules via such things as AARP, Medicare itself, Medicare Advisor and about 100 others.
It is far too complicated to type in here or to copy/paste, but the internet is your friend in this stuff and I would start with the very excellent Medicare site itself.

Good luck.
