My mother in law suffers from dementia she is 97 and lives with us in our home. She has always been difficult to deal with, she does respond to my husband but is unkind to myself and anyone who comes in to help her. My husband and I both work full time and have a few caregivers that come in to give her showers and fix dinner a couple of nights so we can go out. I find myself getting angry as she is very difficult and my husband is on the road approximately 5 days a week, and at that time I am her care giver and when asked to do something she ignores me or gives me dirty looks, just you basic pain. I know because she is so difficult she would not do well in a nursing home, but lately I have seriously considered it.
