Find Care & Housing
KeepontryintM: If there's one thing I would have changed when my late Mother was alive, is to go on those special number wedding anniversary trips. My husband and I didn't, thinking that mom would take ill at any moment. That was definitely the wrong mindset! You're welcome; you do have to live your life, Keep!

I have a cousin and his wife, in their late 70's, and their wonderful kids gave them an Alaskan cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary. His wife was hesitant as her ancient mother was in a nursing home and 'could die any time', but by golly, she went on that trip and she and her husband had the time of their lives! Of course nothing happened to her ancient mother, and if she did pass on, I am sure the nursing home would have had her brought to the morgue.

Kudos to that couple going on the Alaskan cruise, Lassie! That's something my husband and I kept putting off because my mother "might die at any moment." It was a very wrong mindset!
