I would like to hear about resources others have found to provide caregivers or respite care, especially non-income based. Please provide a link for more information as I have done.

Everyone is not eligible for exactly the same benefits even at the same VA Hospital. (This is separate from the Social Worker for the Veteran.)
VA - I receive 28 hours a week https://www.va.gov/GERIATRICS/docs/Homemaker_and_Home_Health_Aide_Care.pdf
VA - I receive 30 (6-hour) days a year for respite carehttps://www.va.gov/Geriatrics/docs/Respite_Care.pdf
Area Council on Aging - Last year I received $2000 grant for caregivers plus $300 incontinence supplies.

This link is only a SC local resource but I believe all states have their own form of Council on Aging. Recently, I was told I may not be eligible in the future because of VA benefits. It is only an annual grant so I was advised to check back later in the new year (which just began) to learn about their new policies.
Perhaps a similar resource in other states.

Perhaps something similar in your area. Leeza's Care Connection Silver Lining Respite Care Club

Be sure to check out the other programs at Leeza's Care Connection because many offer virtual participation for caregivers everywhere who are caring for LOs with Alzheimers, Dementia and Parkinson's.
I have found caregiver issues are becoming a hot topic in political and community circles. Keep googling caregivers, respite etc. and you may find new resources local to you. Please share a link to what you find because your resources may even be local to other members here.
Please review the other posts first so we can try and not duplicate the same links over and over... unless you have had a different experience with that resource.
