The spin cushion doesn't work on my seats. I have a toyota camry and can't even find vinyl seatcovers that will fit unless I go to Toyota and they are $$$. Mom is so stiff it can take 7 or 8 minutes just to get her in the car.

Thanks. I never thought of that! I bought a spin cushion and when she sat on it, it wouldnt spin. The seat isnt flat like a regular chair, its a bucket. I'll try the garbage bag idea.

I wasn't impressed with the spin seats either. For a dining chair yes but not for the car. We've used the garbage bags and they work well and have protected our seats from accidents. Good luck!

I wasn't impressed with the spin seats either. Fast, cheap and easy... two heavy duty garbage bags. It's amazing how easily they slide and spin, and as a bonus they help protect the seat from incontinence accidents.

Paul, see the question and answers to this post:

Transferring a wheelchair patient into car. Any advice?

I don't recall where, perhaps in a catalogue of DME and mobility supplies, but I have seen the spin cushions offered for sale directly.

You might visit a local DME supplier and see what's available.

If your mother in a wheelchair?
