Hola, 58! Yes, I know it well. Santa Barbara has been a favorite destination for most of my adult life. My Mother lived just south of SLO for 33 years until I brought her down here in 08. The 5 hour drive was too much on a weekly basis. I stay as far west as I can. Cheers:)
ChristinaW, howdy! About2 1/2 hours north on the 101. I am an L.A. brat, been in San Bernardino, and thanks to the good man above, landed in Ventura. Wouldn't go back to L.A. if I was paid to. Seriously perfect weather here.
Actually, I'm not FROM, Indio. I was born in Walnut Creek, CA. Then I moved to PA, NJ, IL, TX, then spent 25 yrs in OR, then finally the last 11 down here. All my kids and grandkids are up in OR, so that's where my heart is.

Lol! OHDIL! I love Texas the few times visited. My new SIL has family there and I like the "mentality." Yea, I'll bet that is one big state the Cap'n does not want to pass through. Tough place. Might as well come to CA, Bob. Haha! We like everyone here, and we're very understanding, due to border proximity:)
Greetings from the left coast, the great liberal state of California. ( I feel like a delegate or a beauty contestant. I'll take world peace) We're in the OC, where the elite come to beat their feet on the streets of gold and taxes are never fully paid. I grew up in the Pasadena area, hubby is from Ellensberg, WA.
