August brings plum season. For the past three years, I made plum dumplings, but not the “right” plum dumpling. Today I made Romanian dumplings… thinking the perfect dumpling was just an unreachable romanticized memory. But it was a lip smacking success that delighted.

I used to make a really good plum pie.  I took pieces to work; it was a nice treat in the middle of the day.
