How can I stop the attorney who said she would have everything be fully transparent from spending my families money on services that I can do for nothing. The elder advocate at 80.00 an hour, I realize some other's cost even more. She has run errors, taken my father back and forth to nursing home and ordered the wrong bed which Medicare won't pay for than had to reorder the one they will approve all for a large fee for herself. I told the attorney I was not happy about this nor about the expense of the move of which was not discussed with me. I had to ask the senior advocate what she was being paid the attorney didn't advise me. Now I regret in a big way allowing her to spend my parents money the cost of the facility alone is a down payment on a house and that's every month. Once the facility spends all their money they will have to move to a nursing home where Medicaid will take over I was not made aware of this until I arrived in Virginia.
How can this be stopped I don't feel I can trust anyone now.
I am very sorry that the arrangement you made is not working as you expected it to. What would you want as a solution? Do you want to be guardian? Do you want someone else to be appointed guardian? If you like you can certainly see a different attorney for an opinion as to whether you have any chance at getting your desired solution, and if so the best way to go about it.
