Find Care & Housing
24/7 in home care is not subsidized, because at that point it is cheaper for Medicaid to pay for a Nursing Home. Leave mom where she is.

I agree with gladimhere. In home care, 24/7, is so expensive but there are people who can afford it. If your Dr. signs off on it call Medicare and see what they will pay for. I'm a nurse in home health care and I know that Medicare, if they will pay, will only pay a small portion. Like, 6 hours a day. Which doesn't help you if you need around the clock. It would be way less expensive to consider a nursing home and get your mom on Medicaid.

Stated that badly. Live in care in my area costs about $10,000.00 a month. Medicaid will provide assistance of less than $1,500.00 a month.

Financial assistance with live in care is about $10,000.00 a month in my area. Medicaid in some states will pay a family caregiver, but the amount js minimal. You should consider a facility that accepts Medicaid now. Would she be able to self pay at all? The longer you wait the more difficult placement will be.
