My friend is a med tech. Her back was turned when the CNA pulled the patient. One of the other CNAs told another CNA who saw it and she reported it so they watched the video and even if my friend's back was turned she did see the patient kick the CNA as she placed her meds down but left out but because she was leaving the room she was fired for elderly abuse. So the girl who reported it got her job. Can this go on her record as elderly abuse if she didn't cause abuse?

So she just walked away without trying to de-escalate the situation?

Maybe things wouldn't have progressed to elder abuse if she would have done her job. Setting meds down is not administering meds to the patients.

Getting the senior focused on taking their meds would have ended this situation very differently.

I personally think it should follow her. She just turned her back and that tells me she doesn't care. Not good for anyone working with seniors or vulnerable people.

You don’t have to be the CAUSE of the abuse in order to be guilty. She not only ignored the assault but she failed to report it. She’s an accomplice and this should absolutely go on her employment record.

Your lack of punctuation and proper grammar makes it difficult to understand your posts. Perhaps if you re-read your original post, you will see that at the end of your nonsensical run-on sentence, you said this “she did see the patient kick the CNA as she placed her meds down but left out but because she was leaving the room”

You seem to acknowledge that your “friend” witnessed part of the altercation and that she left and didn’t even bother to report what she said. My answer stands.
