Payment for caregiving. If so, how? If not WHY?

Check the Oregon rules. If he is a vet, check the VA. The only success I have seen for this is if Medicaid pays for home care AND the agency agrees to hire you as a caregiver.

Has anyone tried a baby monitor to keep an ear open on the one you are caring for? I don't like the tv shows he does, so I turn the tv on to his special channels and I go to the bedroom. I am up and down checking on him. He tried to get up and do things and ends up falling every time. I just thought baby monitor would be good to use so it wakes me up if I fall asleep.

I used a baby monitor on the weekends my mother spent with me. Once I got used to differentiating between her snoring and her actually calling out or trying to get out of bed it was fine.
