To be honest, I don't think it would be easy for a person to try and put on the tab ones on themselves.

How mobile is your mom?
The reason I as is because when my Husband was walking and I used the "tab" brief they would become lose and begin to slide down. I ended up putting a pair of "boxer briefs" OVER the tab brief to hold them in place. (although I always had the nick name for him.,.hipless, buttless wonder so that might have been part of the problem🤣)
Oh, and I tried every trick in the book short of using a staple gun or duct tape to hold them in place.

Maybe having mom sit on the toilet or the side of the bed and putting her feet into the leg holes of the pull up would help.
there are devices "grabber" type tools that would help her pull up the brief as well as any pants that she would be wearing.

If she's not dealing with fecal incontinence an incontinence pad may be sufficient, they make some that are highly absorbent and have almost as much coverage as a pull up.

Tranquility is a highly rated brand.
