He was very active on this forum. He was from North Las Vegas, NV. His wife, Luz, passed away in March of 2019 of FTD and his last message was Sep of 2021.He was my hero and saving grace. I am the sole caregiver for my wife in her 6th year of Alzheimers disease. I learned so much from this forum but particularly from OldSailor. As a retired soldier myself, I had much in common with him. Perhaps this is not the right place, but I believe he deserves this honorable mention. I hope he has found his peace.

Many I miss.

Stacy who is missed here told me she still communicates with him.
I miss him here as well. I miss her.
I miss WorriedinCali and Ahmijoy and so many others.
I now miss NeedHelp. I need her to balance my somewhat caustic approach to life with her unfailing kindness.

I was searching for NeedHelp and found your post. Do you know if anything happened to her?

I well remember him, along with many other people who posted here and left over time. Fully agree with you, his comments were valuable to many. It’s always a loss when someone who’s been a big help stops participating but I also respect their need for change. I hope you’re coping as well as possible. Your wife is blessed to have you

There sure are so many we think of and miss.
I think our most recent escapee is NeedHelpWithMom and I sure want to know she is OK.

Does anyone else remember the gal from Guam ( I think) who worked for the travel agency and had her dad living nearby? She traveled to the states a bit to visit family? I still wonder how she is doing. And of course Captain....
