Most will administer a scheduled exact dose, but very few will agree to administer sliding scale insulin that is based on the blood sugar reading.

I am pretty sure that the RN will do the injection but like said, its an extra cost. In some states an LPN can in others they can't. A medtech can't. They are usually CNAs that have been certified to distribute meds.

If it is anything like the AL my MIL used to be in, they probably do but that is an a-la-carte expense that will be added to her total rent bill. Like AlvaDeer said, please call the AL and find out for sure and what it will cost.

This is a question you should ask at the assisted living. Some have RNs or LVNs doing medications and they can measure the blood sugar and administer insulin; some have med techs and it varies what they can do. Only the assisted living facility can answer this one for you.
