My father had to be removed out of ALF. He now lives with me. My mother is guardian over him but her health is failing her also and is under the care of my sister out of state. Can he received his VA benefits only to our home address without jeopardizing my workman's comp benefits? My mother lives with my sister in another state for over a year and can't be on her own anymore. But is still responsible for his retirement check, SS,VA, and my sibling is caring for her and not sending me a dime. I can't afford and attorney. What should I do.

Find Care & Housing
He can receive his VA benefits, pension and SS check, direct deposited to his own separate bank account. The Guardianship papers should list an alternate who takes over when mom is failing. Do NOT put you & him on a joint account, as the comp board may see this as your income.
It would be completely fair to split your bills with Dad with a written agreement signed by his Guardian. Make copies of the rent/utility/grocery receipts and mail them to the Guardian requesting payment.
