My dad is in the late stages of alzheimer's. My brother is able to assist him with walking but the home does not want to walk him. My dad is still able to walk with assistance and still has the capability to move his feet with help. I feel the doctors, physical therapist and home care workers have already written my dad off since he can't communicate and I need help to continue my dad's walking daily. Where can I find current studies that support walking for late stage Alzheimer's patients? and where can I find documentation from physical therapist supporting walking late stage Alzheimer patients? Please help me and my family.
You can also ask for a tilting wheelchair for comfort when he cannot sit up straight, which will happen soon.
