3 weeks ago she started getting bad delirium, restless where she would lay in bed just staring at everything or she was sleeping 24 hours. We had figured it was her Alzheimers. When we took her into the doctor, they discovered a UTI. She took her antibiotics and was doing a lot better. Now a week later, starting yesterday she's running a fever, throwing up, not eating, hallucinating, weakness, having a little more trouble breathing than normal, and she said "The burning is back". I can't get her in with the doctor until tomorrow. She's 91 years old. I don't know if this is just a UTI, but that's the only thing I can think of. Is there anything I can do to help her until we're the doctor tomorrow?
And let us know what happens!
Call the (nurse at the E.R.)...hurry.
She may actually have the flu. Becoming dehydrated is an emergency for her.
As usual, I agree with Barb and CM!
So sorry she is sick.
