My mom takes a lot of short naps but she needs better sleep. The most she'll sleep is 4 hours at a time though her PCP recommends at least 6 hours. He advised her to turn off the electronics and turn off the lights and even provided non-addictive sleep medicine though she argues that the electronics don't keep her awake (lies).
In the past I admit I tried over-the-counter sleep aid but it leaves her jittery and I hear the side effects get worse.
She's awakened me countless times over the past few months at 4 am thinking it's 4 pm. I beg her to sleep, I've tried taking away her tech, and I've even disconnected the wifi which runs all our devices but she still stays up. She'll watch a dead tv for an hour just flipping channels or trying to find signal. A normal person would give up and go to sleep after the first 20 failed attempts but not her. When she asks about the wifi I reason comcast must be doing repairs and updates at night but she remains headstrong.
These 4 hour sleep sessions are gonna effect her in the long run. So how do you get you're loved ones to go to sleep and stay asleep?
Also try CBD oil without THC. It helps one get better sleep. You can find it very easily now. Make sure you get one that you are sure is made in a pharmaceutical grade lab. You might even find it at your pharmacy.
Try it for yourself first and you can tell that it’s a great way to reduce anxiety and help your mom stay asleep longer very naturally.
