I hired an elder attorney and after consultation he did an act of donation on our house and a piece of property from my mom to me, he had to do a succession on my deceased father to do that, and as a package deal he did a POA,a healthcare POA and a basic will on both of us.. I know it was a lot but I have never dealt with a lawyer before and I can't help wonder if I was overcharged. I am the only child so there is no one to contest or anything
You had a lot of work done. I paid $750 for a healthcare and financial POA alone. $400 for a will/trust. Times two for both of you . . . That wasn't through an elder law attorney, by the way.
