I'm new to this. My life partner slipped quickly into deep dementia. Now, he sleeps a lot during the day & just started the night time psychotic behaviors: he is loud, delirious, hallucinates & tries to punch & kick me. Because he's weak, if he tried to walk, he'd fall. He just started lorazepam. I'm expecting a liver cancer diagnosis this week, which could account for his extreme weakness & perhaps the fatigue (which could cause day sleeping). Dr. feels he is close to hospice care, but before I get related services are there any suggestions, or is nighttime home-health aide my only option. (That would mean different sleeping arrangements - hospital bed in living room.) I have a live-in home health aide, but she's not night care.
Of course could.be any.other number of reasons. I am sorry, I do not know what can be done in a home setting.
But if you are in danger, pls call EMS so he can get his symptoms managed.
