My father will never see the light of day again, nor does he deserve to. Me taking the POA role, I have jeopardized myself and my family on many instances. I have ran errands here and there with constant demands. I have taken away work opportunities to be there and do all of his running around trying to get affairs in order. i.e keep up w truck payments, clean his house and move all of his stuff at my house 2 hours away (so 4 hour round trips), locating his motorcycle and getting it sold for him to have money. Running errands to to the attorney in one county, to a bank in another county, to visit with him in a diff county. I have lost so much time with my family fulfilling the commands of my father. I just recently cut him off from his money to save for a burial if the time comes. Family members are mad but they don’t want to take the responsibility. I’m exhausted and I have lost money financially for having to pay for travel, meals, hotels, babysitters and sometimes drivers. I have POA over all banking, health, and any other decisions which was drawn up by his attorney. I just need some guidance and can’t afford to talk to an atty.

Read your POA, this is usually addressed in the document and being reimbursed is different than being paid, so you should not have any problems recouping your out of pocket expenses.
Stop being his puppet. He will run you ragged with his demands and it is all a prison hustle for power. He looks like a big man with a flunky on the outside doing his bidding and sending him money, don't let yourself be used. It is a cultural unto itself, ask the warden they will tell you.
