Petition filed by my evil sister for conservatorship of my mom. Hearing is less than a month away. Can't afford my own counsel. How do I go about objecting to the petition? Mom's court appointed lawyer is no help and she wants someone different, too. She asked for her usual estate planning attorney, but sister is denying access and has told her old lawyer the bill will not be paid. The court venue is Superior Court Los Angeles Central District. Are oral objections permitted at the hearing, or do I need to prepare a written response, pay filing fees, etc? I can't find court forms for this anywhere. All responses from posters with experience or knowledge of the process will be much appreciated.
Sister is not in control right now, the court appointed lawyer is who represents mom at the hearing, no one else.
