I was trying to see this doctor for "I would like to schedule an appointment for Hypothyroidism and this issue that accompany it". When I e-mailed them this was their reposne and "the Doctor is currently accepting new female patients between the age of 14 and 59". I said I was 60 on Jan 4 this year, do you another doctor that would take me. So I did not get a referral for an appointment.
If you can find out which hospital that group is affiliated with, you can complain to the hospital, although I don't know how much sway the hospital would have on its affiliated physicians.
It's unfortunate though that anyone has to experience this, but I have also although no one has directly stated they don't want to deal with old patients. It was in the nominal treatment that they made clear they didn't particularly want older patients.
It's easier to just find another doctor, but ask when you call or e-mail if they accept patients of your age, and with your insurance coverage.
