Bradenton area, not too costly?

Find Care & Housing
We tried the local senior center, but my husband wasn't too keen on the activities they had there. But he discovered they sponsored a bowling league and he joined that. He had to get a lightweight ball, and had to accept a low score, but he loved it and the rest of the league loved him and were very protective of him.

An adult day health care program was ideal! They picked him up and returned him home. If he didn't like an activity he could sit and read. They provided a nice lunch.

Libraries also have a variety of programs - coffee sit and chats, sometimes music, various book clubs, etc.

I tried to get my mother to go to a seniors centre forever but she refused because "It's full of old people" ... she was 85 at the time.

I'm tempted to move to Bradenton to use the Senior Enrichment Center. I just read about it. I bet it's pricey, though.

I see there are senior centers in Bradenton. That sounds like a good second choice.
