My mom recently had a bad fall. She is 90 yrs old. I try to watch her all the time...afraid one day if I turn around she will fall..which she did. :0(. Now I am frightened if I turn around she may bump into the edge of furniture in the house. I have researched and there are rubber corner baby guards. Feasible? Anyone have experience with this? (Eldercare...so purposeful...but oh so exhausting...so thankful for this site!!!)
Make her regular chair a transport chair and fasten her in loosely from the back. Only way she gets up is if you're in the room. That's what I'd do. Learned it after mom broke her hip when I was ten feet away in the other room.
