What is the condition of the 70 year old?
What else is expected other than a place to live?
Is the 70 year old in any way dependent upon you?
What are the factors for privacy, separate entrance, how big a space?
Whatever the agreement it will depend upon your sitting together and deciding upon expectations, ability to pay, how to pay.
Also you will want to have this agreement legally done with reassessment of situation in 6 months time and every 6 months thereafter to see if the situation is still working for you. It is crucial for your own taxes and records and for your Mom's that the agreement be legal. Otherwise giving you "rental" can be considered gifting and have repercussions for her in the future.
Moving someone into your space, whether friend or child or mother can have serious repercussions for you. You should see an attorney with your Mom and work out an agreement together would be my advice. If you have been on Forum for any time at all you will have witnessed the disasters this has caused so many.
