Hello everyone. Mom continues to deteriorate as this da*n dementia steals more of her short and now long-term memory, her cognitive skills, her mobility, her dignity. She is no longer the woman she was even as recently as a year ago and I just grieve for her, and her children. Anyway, she cannot take care of a pet. Has anyone ever bought a doll, or an animatronic cat or dog for a parent with dementia? Strange question I know, but we are trying to find ways to to relieve her nearly constant anxiety. Thanks. Hugs to your loved ones.
And I can only imagine that an animatronic cat or dog would bring just as much comfort too, as they are so very life like.
My mother’s AL would allow kittens from a shelter to visit . My mother loved the real kittens too.
