I have Diabetes Type Two. And I eat small portions of ice cream or chocolate candy. Guess shouldn't eat them as often. How bad is saturated fat?

I have Type I diabetes and of course, take insulin. It's the carb count that I have to do mainly for insulin purposes and to control my blood sugar. I take a tad of insulin to cover my fats and proteins, but the carbs are the main thing. Although, I try to limit my saturated fats. I have discussed nutrition with my endocrinologist and a nutritionist multiple times, and they have stressed that moderation is the key. Of course, healthy fats are better.

Simple carbs are probably more problematic for diabetics that saturated fat, but if you are trying to keep your weight down you know you have to limit treats. Keeping a healthy balance is the key.
