Music! I forgot to add music. Music can change your mood instantly good or bad depending on the type of music your listening to.
I really enjoy flute and nature music.
Zachariah Grace is phenomenal he plays the flute beautifully, very soothing.
There are tons of options for whatever makes you feel good and happy, turn some music on and notice the difference. Definitely self care.

I have survived the last 5 years thanks to my wonderful husband and my tenor tuba lessons.

I had started my lessons early in 2019, and they brought me through my LO’s 2 Covid infections and my own.

I practiced an hour every day during lock down and resumed taking lessons as soon as my teacher and I were able to meet in person. My doctor thought that playing a large wind instrument helped me to maintain my physical health.

Listening to music is a wonderful gift to one’s self, and playing is even better.

Best of all? DO BOTH!

I took up playing the ukulele. Been seriously practicing for about a year and have gotten fairly proficient. I am able to pack it in my luggage and my lessons are on line so it doesn’t matter if I’m in NYC or California.

The ukulele provides a distraction and the sound is so pretty, soothing and happy (when I put my fingers on the right strings 😁). It really helps relieve stress. Plus I feel that I’ve put this miserable time to in my life good use.
