This question is pertaining to my Mom who is a surviving spouse soon to be on Medacaid and owns a home. I heard from a person who helps people obtain Medacaid that anyone who has a disabled child (no matter what age) can sign over their house to that child, fully exempt and can be done anytime within that 5 year rule. Can you confirm this? Thank you in advance.

Find Care & Housing
If the person is qualified to help people qualify for Medicaid then that person should know. However you may want to check with an attorney just to be sure. It sounds possible, if the adult child is disabled and dependent on the mother. But I am not a Mediciaid specialist, so I can't give you a definite answer. It's best to get legal help on these issues.
