Unfortunately the question is for me, not my aunt! I can't take the bladder-spasm med because I need to take take Requip at night. The 2 meds interact to cause memory problems. "MembersMark Briefs isn't enough for the diaretic-spasm speed of urine. Any ideas? I suppose I could just sit on the throne and read for 2 hours.
Then when our daughter was getting married I knew we had to find something that would work. Contact Tena website and ask for a free sample of Tena stretch ultra briefs - item #61390. These are the answer. They have 2- 6 1/2 inch velcro connectors that are really repositional-no more 1 inch plastic tabs that don't hold or reposition! We have never looked back. One will last the whole day or night - no more pads. No more wet bedding and clothes. No more need for bed pads. Seriously! They have changed our lives.
When I went to order them myself, I couldn't find them. Finally I found them in the women's section, although I can't figure out why. They don't have any different padding for a man or a woman. Just be sure to ask for this item # and you'll be set. These have a substantial padding in the butt area if needed for bowel incontinence or occasional diarrhea. I have to say that there seems to be an excess of fabric in the front, but it doesn't allow for leaks and the product is overall so superior, it's a minor issue. They go up to a 2X which you don't often see.
good luck!
Night time is not an issue. Requip solves my restless legs and night kicking, which keeps me and my husband awake. It's a problem only when the diaretic kicks in during the morning. Medicine for spasms used to work, but my memory became an issue. Cwillie's solution is working so far, but I will keep chinagal's in mind.
