Is my mom eligible for VA benefits if divorced?

Please call the VA and ask for a counselor to explain benefits to you.
A forum of strangers really isn't the best place to get information about the VA.
You want to be certain that you get the best information; that requires getting it right from "the horse's mouth".
They have a great website as well.
Good luck in your research.
From what I find online just briefly searching, the news doesn't seem good. Quote:
"Question: Do divorcees get VA benefits?
Answer:
NO

If you’ve ever wondered, “Is a divorced spouse entitled to VA disability benefits,” stay tuned because there’s a simple answer with a more detailed explanation: NO! How disability payments from the VA can be affected by divorce settlements is best summed up by the United States Supreme Court: " blah blah blah.

Just from that guess alone, I wouldn't take "no" for an answer without further research. Good luck.

Was he in active duty during a war? Were you married for at least 10 years?

You are not entitled to Aid and Attenance.

Was he retired after 20 yrs or more? Pensions, IMO, should be negotiated at time of divorce. You need to talk to someone at your County VA dept. It will depend on his length of service, how long u were married and maybe if he saw action. We really can't help you.
