Find Care & Housing
You or a family member might want to contact the Area Agency on Aging for Kent County. Here is a link for Delaware Health and Social Services that hopefully will provide a good starting point for finding additional help for your client:

Just read your profile. It sounds like your client needs a skilled nursing facility to take care of their needs.

I am glad that you know your limitations and are trying to get proper help for your client.

Best wishes to you and your client.

Do you get paid or just doing it because ur friends? You don't live with him correct? So you call Adult Protection Services telling them you have been helping him but his care is getting beyond what you can do. If you have no POA you can do nothing for him. Even if you do, he is beyond your care. Tell APS you need to walk away because trying to care for him is causing you health problems. They will evaluate and either find him services or have the State take over his care.

This happened to a neighbor of my moms. I was putting some trash out and the neighbors CNA came over to talk. She told me she hadn't been paid in 2 wks and called APS that she was leaving. The came shortly after and took the bedbound woman our of her house.

He is not your responsibility.
