My father is a native Spanish speaker. He has lived in the US for over 50 years, but over the course of his dementia he has fallen back on his native language.
We've called a few dozen agencies and no such luck for bilingual care. My favorite answer is: "We just post an ad on Indeed"-Translation yea, we got one, but you know we can hire them, give them over to you if they pass the background check they must be okay. Any advice or leads?
Check around some of the Daycares, Als and NHs. There maybe some aides willing to work some extra hours. If you talk to the hiring depts, they may have some applicants looking for jobs they weren't able to hire.
I did respite care for 5 days with the belief there would be someone to care for him. One day I stopped by and found him sitting on the floor and just singing to himself.
